My Birthday!
Today was an absolutely amazing day. I seriously could not have asked for a better birthday. Thank you SO much to everyone who wished me a happy one. It really was the best birthday I have ever had! …well, according to my mom my best birthday was when I turned five in DisneyWorld and Minnie Mouse had breakfast with me. But I guess I can’t expect things like that to happen more than once in a lifetime! ;)
Anyway, I decided that making a list of all of the great things that happened today would be a good thing to do so that I can look back on this day whenever I feel down and remember how special and loved I felt today!
1. My best friend and I were on the phone when the clock struck midnight and as soon as she said happy birthday to me, my sister ran into my room singing.
2. My sweetheart remembered to text me even though she was out at a ceremony and she called me and talked to me until I got sleepy.
3. I went to the office and everyone there wished me a happy birthday and told me how good I look. (I haven’t been there since about May and I have lost 20 pounds over that timeframe, so it was a nice compliment)
4. I got a ride to school and laughed the whole way.
5. Everyone on Twitter wished me a happy birthday all day long! I was told to put up a happy-face avatar by one of my pals and it’s my happiest picture EVER.
6. Class was actually interesting and while I was there I found out that a friend of mine sent $20 to my Chip-In account.
7. My mom picked me up from class and we were both really happy.
8. She got me my FAVORITE cake ever— chocolate mousse and chocolate ganache on top.
9. Amy Ziff from the band BETTY wished me a happy birthday.
10. I got to spend the afternoon reading Hillary Carlip’s book “Queen of the Oddballs”
11. I got a new book in the mail called “Confessions of a Sociopathic Social Climber: the Katya Livingston Chronicles” by Adele Lang
12. I ate Cheese Doodles and drank milk, which is the BEST combination and I don’t care how grossed out you are right now!
13. My mom, sister and I all had pizza together before they drove me to class.
14. I didn’t get raped or stabbed or jumped even though it’s the Bloods’ initiation night!
15. Steve gave me a $25 gift card to Barnes & Noble when we got into our marketing class.
16. My marketing professor remembered it was my birthday. Embarrassment ensued.
17. I got an A on my midterm!
18. I exchanged numbers with a nice girl and a fitness model guy in my class. He is going to help us work out tomorrow.
19. Steve drove me home and we had cake with my whole family.
20. My sister bought me my new favorite perfume and made sure it was travel size appropriate so I can bring it away on planes with me.
21. My parents bought me new Uggs because my other pair are gone.
22. It was 70°F and sunny all day!
